So I've been following a particular blog for awhile. I'd like to not use names because... I'm not sure. I just don't think it'd be good if this couple found FJ. And these names are definitely not common.
I've mentioned this couple before - they were the ones who followed the courtship model of the S'Mortons, and had their betrothal filmed by Papa Smith. I've always had a fondness for this couple, because they like Star Wars and Star Trek and I thought they might have a shot at breaking away later, that they seemed more like they were going through the motions of the fundieness. While I still feel that way about the girl, the more the guy has posted and pontificated the less I like him.
So here's the thing. She's been pregnant and has been in labor since Tuesday morning. She's doing a homebirth. She's got a midwife and a doula. None of these things in particular worry me. What does worry me is the Facebook messages in the past day. The grandmother clearly wants the girl to go to the hospital and fears for her safety, but those fears are going unaddressed. She's been told the girl isn't up to talking to her on the phone, which may well be true but still worries me. And the tone of the latest post, from the father-in-law, seems like a fundie way of telling people to STFU.
So I'm posting the facebook here, because I don't want to post the blog here. While it's the husband's facebook, it would appear his younger brother has been making most of the updates for the past day or so (and then his father made a comment under his name, too).
I'm sure I'm worrying unnecessarily, but it's just not sitting with me right. It seems to me like even Rachel Morton is saying, in a nice way, to go to the hospital... or maybe I'm just reading way too much into everything.
